1. CLINICAL INTERVIEW WITH PARENT OR CARER
The ADIR, or Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised, is a semi-structured interview conducted with caregivers to assess autism spectrum disorder (ASD) symptoms in individuals. During ADHD assessments, a full developmental history will be taken. This includes a comprehensive evaluation of the child's developmental milestones, medical, educational, and family history, as well as an examination of their social, emotional, and behavioral development.

2. OBSERVATIONAL ASSESSMENT IN CLINIC
The ADOS, or Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, is a standardised assessment tool used to evaluate social communication, interaction, play, and restricted or repetitive behaviours associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It involves structured interactions and activities between the examiner and the individual being assessed, allowing for direct observation of behaviours that are characteristic of ASD. The ADOS helps clinicians gather objective data to inform diagnostic decisions and treatment planning.

3. SCHOOL OBSERVATION
A school observation and information gathering session for the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) involves a trained professional observing the child's behaviour, interactions, and academic performance in a classroom setting. During the observation, the evaluator pays close attention to specific behaviours and characteristics associated with ASD or ADHD, such as social communication skills, attention span, impulsivity, hyperactivity, and sensory sensitivities. Additionally, information is gathered from teachers and school staff through structured interviews or questionnaires to provide a comprehensive understanding of the child's functioning across different environments.

4. MULTI DISCIPLINARY TEAM MEETING
MDT, or Multidisciplinary Team, is a collaborative approach to diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). It involves professionals from various disciplines, such as psychologists, psychiatrists, paediatricians, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists, educationalists working together to assess and diagnose individuals with ASD or ADHD.
Each team member brings unique expertise and perspectives to the evaluation process, allowing for a comprehensive assessment of the individual's strengths, challenges, and needs.
This collaborative effort results in a more accurate diagnosis and facilitates the development of tailored intervention plans to support the individual's development and well-being.

5. FEEDBACK APPOINTMENT AND REPORT
A feedback session for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) diagnosis is a crucial step in the assessment process. During this short session, the evaluating professionals meet with the individual and their family to discuss the findings of the assessment and provide detailed feedback.
This may include reviewing assessment results, explaining the diagnostic criteria, and discussing observations and behaviours that contributed to the diagnosis. The session also offers an opportunity for the family to ask questions, seek clarification, and discuss concerns.
Upon completion of the assessment process, families can expect to receive a comprehensive post-diagnostic report.

6. POST DIAGNOSTIC SUPPORT PACKAGE
Our post-diagnostic support package then offers six tailored assistance and guidance sessions for children recently diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This comprehensive package includes access to specialised therapy services, educational resources, parent training programs, advocacy in school/setting and ongoing support from our team of experienced professionals. We aim to empower families with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate the challenges of a new diagnosis and support their child's development and well-being effectively.
